MUSEUM OF AVIATION The museum of Aviation is located at the airport in Paraparaumu and offers an in depth introduction to New Zealands airliner history and illustrates it through reproduced photographs, models and collections of memorabilia from the flights themselves.Open on Sundays only: 10am - 4pm I have tried to visit this museum on a Sunday during opening hours. Although the sign at the door said 'open' it was locked. This Kapiti museum is in a very small, badly maintained cottage. I haven't been inside, but it doesn't look promising unfortunately.
